Yojimbo is the first of two Akira Kurosawa movies to feature the character Sanjûrô Tsubaki (played by the fantastic Toshirô Mifune). Mifune has appeared in several Kurosawa movies including the samurai movies Sanjuro, Seven Samurai, and Rashômon, to name a few.
